More about Orangutan Fair Trade Beach Bag

    Orangutan Fair Trade Beach Bag

The Orangutan Fair Trade Beach Bag is bright, colourful and full of character, featuring a striking orangutan design against a vibrant green background. The clever artwork extends the orangutan design up into the long shoulder handles, creating a wonderfully unusual bag that’s certain to stand out.

Spacious and lightweight, it’s ideal for days at the beach, holidays, swimming, shopping, picnics or simply carrying your everyday essentials.

But this isn’t just a colourful reusable bag. It’s part of our special Endangered Species Bags collection, designed to highlight some of the world’s threatened wildlife.

    Why is the Orangutan Endangered?

Orangutans live naturally in the rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra, and all three recognised orangutan species are classified as Critically Endangered.

One of the greatest threats they face is the loss and fragmentation of their rainforest habitat. Forests have been cleared for agriculture, including palm oil plantations, as well as logging, mining, roads and other development.

Orangutans are also threatened by hunting and the illegal wildlife trade. Their slow reproductive rate makes it particularly difficult for populations to recover when numbers decline.

Protecting orangutans also means protecting the incredible tropical forests they inhabit and the many other species that depend upon them.

An Endangered Species Bag With a Story

Each bag in this special collection includes an information label about the featured animal, helping to tell the story of the species and raise awareness of wildlife conservation.

Importantly, 20p from the original sale of each bag was donated to WWF.

That makes this an especially lovely find for orangutan lovers, wildlife enthusiasts and anyone who enjoys unusual products with a story behind them.

Fair Trade & Made in India

This Orangutan Beach Bag was made in India under Fair Trade principles, adding another ethical element to this distinctive collection.

Designed to be used repeatedly, it’s a practical alternative to disposable carrier bags while being considerably more interesting than an ordinary reusable tote.

    Spacious & Versatile

The roomy design and long shoulder handles make this a useful bag for all sorts of occasions, including:

    • Beach and swimming essentials
    • Holidays and travelling
    • Shopping trips
    • Picnics and days out
    • Gym and leisure essentials
    • Craft supplies
    • Everyday use

The bright green background combined with the fabulous orange orangutan artwork makes this one that’s very difficult to lose in a crowd!
